What is Hypnotherapy?
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy combines elements of well-proven psychotherapy techniques with hypnotherapy to help you be better by making lasting positive change.
It's based on the latest neuroscience research and is developing all the time as science uncovers new and amazing things about how our brain works.
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy differs from traditional counselling in that we never talk about the past. The past has gone and there is nothing we can do to change it. But we can change the future. There is no need to live the rest of your life with anxiety or depression because of the past.
Instead, we focus on the positive things in life, even if they seem small. We also talk about small changes that can lead to big improvements.
What is trance?
I also use a deep relaxation technique we call trance. Trance is a very normal, everyday state that our brains go into. We all go into trance multiple times a day. Perhaps on that familiar car ride where you arrive not remembering the journey or maybe that hour that passes before you knew it while on social media. This is trance.
It's a very relaxed state that allows the conscious and unconscious mind to focus on creating solutions. You don't speak while in trance and are always aware of what's going on. It's very relaxing and can be very enjoyable.
Do I have to travel?
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy can be done online or face-to-face. It works equally well either way. This means that you don't need to worry about travelling. I have had clients as far away as the US, Australia and Cyprus.
